Impact of Pollution on Jellyfish

Pollution has a massive effect on the ocean especially sea creatures. There are animals that consume the waste that gets into oceans and the total amount of waste per year is a whopping 14 billion pounds. There are animals that prey on other animals to find out that it’s just trash. Some articles say that a million animals die a year from trash. This is a very big  deal. For my project I decided to use a jellyfish. 

The world needs to find a way to reduce the amount of waste getting in the ocean. One way is by doing exactly what I did, getting items that were not in use anymore and that I was probably going to throw away and then making something new. For this project all I really did was take an old pair of jeans that I had that didn’t fit me, some beads that weren’t in use, and some thread. Then voila! I made a beret. I think if I were to do this again I would make something a bit more my style and something that I could actually fit on my head because this beret just didn’t fit. I also would’ve made it look a bit cleaner. I feel like it looks like it has some rough edges.

I’m really proud of myself because this was the first time that I have ever sewn. I was always really interested but never got around to it. I really like that I went a little bit out there, I used iridescent beads. Which is out of my comfort zone.
